A mark always hurt at first, but after some time passed it became something that was not even noticeable anymore.

Aloysius had witnessed this phenomenon many times before. The pain faded away with time, and the girl would start to enjoy her new abilities. It didn't seem to slow Adele down at all, though, as she quickly jumped up and attacked Aloysius.
